Welcome to The Lotus Lair: A Place to Come Back to Yourself
By Alicia, Founder, Certified Meditation Teacher, Guide to Restorative Living
Life can get full. Fast. Loud. Even good seasons can leave very little room to hear yourself clearly.
The Lotus Lair is a place to return.
Not to a perfect routine. Not to a version of yourself that has everything figured out. Simply back to your own breath, your own needs, your own presence, and the parts of you that can get lost when your attention is pulled in too many directions.
More Than Self-Care
Restorative living is not about adding another task to your schedule. It is about making small choices that help you feel more present in the life you are already living.
A few minutes of meditation.
A cup of tea without doing three other things at the same time.
Hand-rolled incense changing the feel of a room.
A warm bath at the end of the day.
Music, fresh air, movement, flowers, quiet, or something new that brings a little life back into the day.
Small choices can change the way a day feels.
What “Come Back to Yourself” Means
It means noticing yourself again.
It means making room for rest when you need it and fresh energy when you need that instead.
It means choosing presence over perfection.
It means asking what you need and giving yourself room to hear the answer.
Coming back to yourself can be much simpler than we make it.
Sometimes it starts with one breath, one quiet moment, or one small choice that feels like your own.
Where It Began
Alicia’s relationship with meditation began more than 15 years ago. She came to the practice looking for a deeper way to know herself, heal, and grow.
What made meditation begin to click was not making it more complex. It was coming back to the basics: breathing, awareness, learning how to sit with herself, noticing what was happening in her body and thoughts, and having a simple point of focus.
Chakra meditation was part of that early foundation. It gave Alicia a clear way to focus, listen, and understand that meditation did not have to mean completely clearing the mind, sitting perfectly still, or escaping everyday life.
It could be a practice of noticing, breathing, reconnecting, and returning.
That understanding became part of the foundation of The Lotus Lair and the way Alicia teaches today: start with the basics, remove the pressure, explain the why, and build from there.
What You'll Find Here
The Lotus Lair Journal is a place to learn and to live what you learn. Alicia will teach the foundations of meditation in a clear, simple way while also exploring restorative living, intentional ritual, home, self-connection, creativity, joy, and the everyday choices that help life feel more supported and more alive.
If you are new to meditation, you will be able to begin with the basics and build from there: Meditation 101, the breath, body awareness, the seven chakras, chakra meditation, and creating a practice that feels natural in your own life.
Being a teacher, coach, and guide is part of who Alicia is. The goal is not to make wellness feel distant or hard to reach. It is to make it easier to understand and easier to actually live.
